Miri and a reunion.

Arrived safe and well in Borneo.

The flight over was good save the 1 hour delay. I did find out what the bank holiday in KL which had put paid to some of my plans was all about. It is the celebration of the end of Ramadam.

It is the most significant celebration for Muslims. It signifies the end of the fasting month of Ramadan. Known locally as Hari Raya Puasa or Hari Raya Aidil Fitri, the celebration is determined by sighting of the new moon on the day, before the next month on the Muslim calendar, Syawal.

Eid ul-Fitr (Arabic: عيد الفطر ‘Īdu l-Fiṭr), often abbreviated to Eid across the Muslim world.

Every day a school day!!!!

Great to see middle Sis and the kids again, especially the new addition to the family.
Sat on the veranda, sipping cool red wine looking over the jungle.
Went out to lunch after a nice flight over, we have spent the afternoon catching up and chilling.

Apparently the local monkeys were skimming the cushions from the patio furniture into the jungle yesterday like small frisbees.......

They also seem partial to picking their noses and smearing it on the windows......

Off to a 40th Birthday party tonight at the local boat club. It's Karen, a rather mad Aussie ex-pat's birthday and she is having a big bash.

I suspect I may have a lie in tomorrow..... If I ever get to sleep with the fucking jet lag.
